In the 4thth minute Polar Ice Caps's Michael Lundström made a couple of brazen moves and fired away a shot to the left hand side of Los Podridos ll's goalie, Julio Beti, understanding what was about to happen, managed to get hold of the ball just before it went behind the net. A nice save by Julio Beti. In the 6th minute of the match Damaso Eskuin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ingemar Eckegren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliberto Romano in the 9th minute of play forced Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper Ingemar Eckegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Amancio Roldanillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Eckegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Danilo Acevedo made a precise shot to the right of Ingemar Eckegren. Polar Ice Caps's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Ingemar Eckegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hilario Aguilera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Polar Ice Caps's Ingemar Eckegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Acevedo in the 42nd minute of play. Ingemar Eckegren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Narciso Tximitx's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Ingemar Eckegren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Feliberto Romano went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Feliberto Romano to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Acevedo got free with Ingemar Eckegren in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the game, Los Podridos ll's Danilo Acevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ingemar Eckegren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Ingemar Eckegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Roldanillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. A collision led to Polar Ice Caps getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein hit a great ball. Ingemar Eckegren was a little too slow when Feliberto Romano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-5. Ingemar Eckegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Romano in the 64th minute of the match. After 75th play minutes Feliberto Romano shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Ingemar Eckegren and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 81st minute, Feliberto Romano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ingemar Eckegren. The goal made the score 0-7. Ingemar Eckegren came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Podridos ll's Feliberto Romano. But to his dismay, Feliberto Romano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. In the 92nd minute, Feliberto Romano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ingemar Eckegren. The goal made the score 0-9. Ingemar Eckegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Romano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Feliberto Romano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Ingemar Eckegren made a huge save. Los Podridos ll's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
