The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Polar Ice Caps's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pierres Rivera fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ingemar Eckegren made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Ametz Pedraza sent off a good shot on target. Michael Lundström kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Ingemar Eckegren was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Ametz Pedraza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ametz Pedraza really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Albir fc's Derwin Comas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ingemar Eckegren. That made the score 2-0 after 13 minutes of play. Albir fc's Derwin Comas got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Polar Ice Caps defense, Ametz Pedraza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ingemar Eckegren. The Polar Ice Caps fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ingemar Eckegren should have stopped the shot. Ametz Pedraza scored 4-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingemar Eckegren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the game, Juan-Francisco Saavedra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albir fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Polar Ice Caps the free kick. Juan-Francisco Saavedra kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Derwin Comas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ingemar Eckegren came out and tried to block the shot, but Derwin Comas slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 36th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ametz Pedraza to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernst Tingelholm during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ernst Tingelholm hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes, Albir fc's Nofre Prieto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ingemar Eckegren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Albir fc reached it. Juan-Francisco Saavedra took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingemar Eckegren. Ingemar Eckegren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 70 minutes into the match, Polar Ice Caps's goal looked a bit too open when Derwin Comas came free, but Ingemar Eckegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ametz Pedraza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ingemar Eckegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Polar Ice Caps's Ingemar Eckegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Francisco Saavedra in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Derwin Comas notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Polar Ice Caps's Ingemar Eckegren. Ingemar Eckegren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ernst Tingelholm hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Rafael Navarro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ingemar Eckegren. Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 85th minute, Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albir fc's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
