The corner was taken by Özgün Serbülend in the 8th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Özer Geçer got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Necat Duha kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Nejat Alp Talayhan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Northern Lights's Nejat Alp Talayhan got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th play minute Nejat Alp Talayhan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marcos Cotilla. 2-0. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nejat Alp Talayhan in the 30th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Özer Geçer in the 32nd minute. In the 45th minute, Özer Geçer made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nejat Alp Talayhan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento made a precise shot to the right of Başaran Ötüken. Northern Lights's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Abraham Alguacil's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Başaran Ötüken firmly grabbed it by the left post. Başaran Ötüken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Panama were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Northern Lights's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. The corner ended in Abraham Alguacil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Northern Lights's Başaran Ötüken did a great save. 61 minutes into the game, Miguel Miralles lined in a short shot 3-2 behind a frustrated Başaran Ötüken. Başaran Ötüken made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 66th minute. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Alex Cambeiro hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nejat Alp Talayhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hulki Kayrahan hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Özer Geçer went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 84 minutes into the match, Panama's Abraham Alguacil broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 95 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sarmiento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Başaran Ötüken. Northern Lights's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidoro Sarmiento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Panama players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Northern Lights.
