When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Juarês Donato sped through Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jânio de Barros. Jânio de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Finnman in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute José-Francisco Virues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cris Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jânio de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês Donato in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 85thth minute of the game João Carlos Vianna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Jânio de Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jânio de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Finnman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Wambalamba FC's Brian Finnman got a free kick in the 90th minute. A hard shot by Horaţiu Bercea from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Cris Courtois's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Wambalamba FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Rolf Pilgren hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ballybunion Celtic F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wambalamba FC.
