After taking down the ball on KS Bukowe's corner Sebastian Bakes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cris Courtois quite easily take care of the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Wambalamba FC got a corner. KS Bukowe's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Brian Finnman ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Robin Steckamp got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jerzy Dudek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 26th minute Juarês Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Dudek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute Gianluca Lapadula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cris Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to KS Bukowe getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Michal Jarosiewicz hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the game, Wambalamba FC's João Carlos Vianna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jerzy Dudek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 43 minutes into the match, KS Bukowe's goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juarês Donato. If Gianluca Lapadula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Andre-Yann Dospel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robin Steckamp made a kick off. Cris Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Mondrowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juarês Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerzy Dudek having to interfere. In the 65th minute Michal Jarosiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cris Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Wambalamba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Mondrowski came free, but Cris Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wambalamba FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stanislao Kuparinen was slow to take the kick. During this time KS Bukowe's players had a chance to rest. After 72 minutes Wambalamba FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stanislao Kuparinen who took care of the corner kick. In the 72nd minute, Michal Jarosiewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Wambalamba FC's Cris Courtois got control of the ball when Gianluca Lapadula tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jerzy Dudek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Steckamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 84 played minutes Wambalamba FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacek Przybyciel. In the 87th minute, Brian Finnman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
