Bart-Jan Van De Beeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Vianna in the 37th minute of the match. João Carlos Vianna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bart-Jan Van De Beeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Royal Antwerp FC booed when Wambalamba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacek Przybyciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin Steckamp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Vianna in the 64th minute of play. Robin Steckamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Bart-Jan Van De Beeck made a huge save. In the 68th minute Tom Rits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cris Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wambalamba FC's Cris Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Rits in the 69th minute of play. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Juarês Donato sent off a good shot on target. The Wambalamba FC fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Wambalamba FC's João Carlos Vianna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cris Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thibau Robin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin Steckamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart-Jan Van De Beeck having to interfere. Royal Antwerp FC's Bart-Jan Van De Beeck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Royal Antwerp FC from getting a goal against them. The Royal Antwerp FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Wambalamba FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Wambalamba FC.
