The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulo Rosio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Blomkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Blomkvist in the 7th minute of play forced Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s goalkeeper Paulo Rosio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute Peter Blomkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Rosio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicasio Abad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Paulo Rosio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Blomkvist in the 35th minute of play. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Paulo Rosio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Blomkvist in the 40th minute of play. After 42 played minutes Atletas Campesinos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Galindo. Joel Enekoitz took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Rosio. Paulo Rosio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ made a substitution. Cai Wei Xi replaced Peter Blomkvist. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Paulo Rosio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Atletas Campesinos F.C. from getting a goal against them. 52 minutes into the game, Joel Enekoitz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulo Rosio. Joel Enekoitz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Cai Wei Xi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicasio Abad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Hernandez in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Pepe Burris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ made a substitution. Lei Jian Xiong replaced Kosmas Banasopoulos. After a rather tough play, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Pepe Burris got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Paulo Rosio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Atletas Campesinos F.C. from getting a goal against them. Cai Wei Xi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Paulo Rosio 66 minutes into the match. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Paulo Rosio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Atletas Campesinos F.C. from getting a goal against them. Paulo Rosio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gökçe Yalazalp in the 74th minute. Paulo Rosio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Wei Xi in the 78th minute of play. After 81 minutes of play, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Cai Wei Xi made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Rosio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s William Lebigot was substituted for Joel Enekoitz. Paulo Rosio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cai Wei Xi, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Paulo Rosio came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Cai Wei Xi. But to his dismay, Cai Wei Xi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. 90 minutes into the match, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lei Jian Xiong came free, but Paulo Rosio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Paulo Rosio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Atletas Campesinos F.C. from getting a goal against them. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
