After 15 minutes Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niklas Pedersson who took care of the corner kick. Atletas Campesinos F.C. were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Águilas Poblanas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciro Ostadar took the corner. The corner led Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Ciro Ostadar to fire away a dangerous shot which Alexandros Ismael despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Hernandez in the 39th minute of play. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Paulo Rosio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Atletas Campesinos F.C. from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amedeo Vitucci to make the kick off. Paulo Rosio came out of the goal and Eusebio Beltran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Rosio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Beltran in the 88th minute of play. Eusebio Beltran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Rosio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Niklas Pedersson was slow to take the kick. During this time Águilas Poblanas's players had a chance to rest. Águilas Poblanas's Anıl Cenk Yılğıralp was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paulo Rosio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Águilas Poblanas were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
