Jaroslaw Maurycy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Paulo Rosio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Oliver Kan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute of the match, Jaroslaw Maurycy got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paulo Rosio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 20th minute, Edelmiro Ramone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaroslaw Maurycy got free with Paulo Rosio in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulo Rosio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaroslaw Maurycy in the 30th minute. Julian Kosakowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Paulo Rosio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Paulo Rosio got control of the ball when Jaroslaw Maurycy tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Julian Kosakowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute of the match ORIZABA F.C. got a corner. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edelmiro Ramone ran over to the corner to take the kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Luís Hernandez made the kick off in the second half. Paulo Rosio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaroslaw Maurycy, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute, Edelmiro Ramone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ORIZABA F.C.'s Julian Kosakowski got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaroslaw Maurycy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Rosio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Luís Hernandez took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Oliver Kan to make any attempt to save it. Jaroslaw Maurycy scored 1-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Rosio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute Atletas Campesinos F.C. were awarded a corner. Ciro Ostadar went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 81st minute, Adolfo Galindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Remigio Handi got a free kick in the 85th minute. Paulo Rosio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaroslaw Maurycy, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute Jaroslaw Maurycy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Rosio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
