Dorival Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liu Yong Yong having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, OROTINENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Veloso came free, but Liu Yong Yong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong got control of the ball when Zé Recife tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute, Iordache Opincaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OROTINENSE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Zé Recife fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E. Cachoeirinha's protests and gave Zé Recife a yellow card for diving instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorival Veloso made a kick off. Songurhan Mete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Betão de Amaral made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iordache Opincaru got free with Betão de Amaral in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led to OROTINENSE's Claudio Leiton getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Betão de Amaral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacek Walczak in the 65th minute. Liu Yong Yong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elder Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Iordache Opincaru notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of S.E. Cachoeirinha's Betão de Amaral. Betão de Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. OROTINENSE made a substitution. Sigvald Birkborg replaced Songurhan Mete. After 75 minutes, Claudio Leiton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OROTINENSE and the S.E. Cachoeirinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, OROTINENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Leiton to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Veloso in the 78th minute of play forced OROTINENSE's goalkeeper Liu Yong Yong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sigvald Birkborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 minutes, Nilmar do Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.E. Cachoeirinha and the OROTINENSE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nilmar do Valle hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The S.E. Cachoeirinha fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. OROTINENSE were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
