Edson Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuel Yeager in the 5th minute of play forced Inter de Melão's goalkeeper Gildo de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emmanuel Yeager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gildo de Alcântara having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Inter de Melão's Doni Cardozo got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute of the match Emmanuel Yeager sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gildo de Alcântara skillfully saved the ball. In the 14th match minute, Creekers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronnie Lott to maneuver through the defense. Sydney Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Emerson Higgins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davi Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Emerson Higgins made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vito Medeiros during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vito Medeiros hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Creekers's zone, Davi Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson Higgins came out of the goal and Davi Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A throw-in in the 30th minute of the game was made by Vito Medeiros with Sydney Loureiro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 32 minutes, Geovani Motta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter de Melão and the Creekers players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Loureiro in the 37th minute of play forced Creekers's goalkeeper Emerson Higgins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 played minutes Creekers got a freekick which was hit by Ari Laird. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Sydney Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Melão's supporters rose to their feet, but Sydney Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Higgins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Sydney Loureiro made the kick off in the second half. During the 52nd minute of the match Vito Medeiros completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vito Medeiros a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 52nd match minute, Inter de Melão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vito Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter de Melão's goalkeeper Gildo de Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geovani Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Creekers's Tommy Cabrera dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. 73 minutes into the game, Ari Laird cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2.
