Maverick Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toren Potterman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of G.R. booed when Maverick Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caio dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toren Potterman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caio dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lavan Ziton in the 32nd minute of play. Jankel Veneziani hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Oséas Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rozen Lipsky having to interfere. In the 39th minute Toren Potterman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joshua Ziss's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caio dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Ademar Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. G.R.'s Giovanni Ben Yochay was substituted for Goel Glauberman. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maverick Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joshua Ziss was slow to take the kick. During this time G.R.'s players had a chance to rest. Rozen Lipsky took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maverick Futebol Clube's Sérgio Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rozen Lipsky showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséas Botelho in the 61st minute of the match. Caio dos Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toren Potterman's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute Oséas Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rozen Lipsky saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Percival Marinho heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Rozen Lipsky showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséas Botelho in the 69th minute of the match. Percival Marinho hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Lavan Ziton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio dos Santos having to interfere. If Oséas Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th match minute, Maverick Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Oséas Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rozen Lipsky having to interfere. Percival Marinho hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The G.R. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
