Desmond Patterson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sidnei da Costa having to make a save. Creekers's Tommie Kirkpatrick got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommie Kirkpatrick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tommie Kirkpatrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei da Costa having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Creekers got a freekick which was hit by Tommie Kirkpatrick. Gustavo Tasso made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Creekers's Christopher Goss. After a defensive mix-up in Renascença A.C.'s zone, Desmond Patterson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidnei da Costa came out of the goal and Desmond Patterson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Renascença A.C.'s Kauã Pernambucano got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 26 minutes, Waldemar Mattos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Renascença A.C. and the Creekers players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Renascença A.C. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Sidnei da Costa came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Creekers's Tommie Kirkpatrick. But to his dismay, Tommie Kirkpatrick quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Tommie Kirkpatrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kip Connelly was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Kauã Pernambucano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kauã Pernambucano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivo Ribeiro made a kick off. After 56 minutes, Tommie Kirkpatrick made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Renascença A.C.'s Sidnei da Costa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Tommie Kirkpatrick came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Creekers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommie Kirkpatrick couldn't finish the play. After having played for 61 minutes, Desmond Patterson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Creekers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Desmond Patterson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Creekers's Tommie Kirkpatrick got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Sidnei da Costa managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Creekers's Tommie Kirkpatrick fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tommie Kirkpatrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei da Costa having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Christopher Goss managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With a little luck, Renascença A.C.'s Sidnei da Costa got control of the ball when Tommie Kirkpatrick tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sidnei da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desmond Patterson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Creekers's Desmond Patterson in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Renascença A.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 85th minute, Tommie Kirkpatrick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidnei da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Sidnei da Costa made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Tommie Kirkpatrick sent off a good shot on target. 92 minutes into the match, Creekers's goal looked a bit too open when Kauã Pernambucano came free, but Kip Connelly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
