Maverick Futebol Clube's Caio dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Ribeiro in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maverick Futebol Clube's Ademar Montenegro got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 21 minutes, Waldemar Mattos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Renascença A.C. and the Maverick Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Renascença A.C. got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Mattos. Jairo Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sérgio Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Maverick Futebol Clube's Oséas Botelho got a free kick in the 46th minute. Caio dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oséas Botelho to strike the kick off in the second half. Oséas Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute of the match, Jairo Jesus got a very nice opportunity to score, but Caio dos Santos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fernandinho Sarmento got a throw-in 66 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Raimundo Abraão. In the 67th match minute, Renascença A.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Tasso to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Maverick Futebol Clube's Oséas Botelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidnei da Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Caio dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Ribeiro in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Renascença A.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Oséas Botelho came free, but Sidnei da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
