Resistencia Tayrona FC's Stanislav Dvorskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinícius Haaland in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Refugio Izaga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Resistencia Tayrona FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maverick Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 22nd match minute, Resistencia Tayrona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Refugio Izaga to maneuver through the defense. Resistencia Tayrona FC's Demesio Reganado got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vinícius Haaland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislav Dvorskiy having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Reynaldo Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanislav Dvorskiy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Wit Chuchro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Stanislav Dvorskiy made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo Neves got free with Stanislav Dvorskiy in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nestor Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
