The audience thought a goal was coming when Albino Canor got free with Stanislav Dvorskiy in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th match minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Seber to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maore Tejerina came free, but Feliciano Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliciano Ayala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Astete in the 46th minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Maore Tejerina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Resistencia Tayrona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maore Tejerina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

A collision led to Resistencia Tayrona FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Xusto Lasquibar hit a great ball. 52 minutes into the match, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Amado Corderall broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Resistencia Tayrona FC's Leonides Rioja got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Resistencia Tayrona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Canor came free, but Stanislav Dvorskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Resistencia Tayrona FC's Stanislav Dvorskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Seber in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Teodosio James cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Stanislav Dvorskiy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Resistencia Tayrona FC's Santxo Bango got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonides Rioja during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But to his dismay, Albino Canor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 77 minutes into the match, Resistencia Tayrona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Seber came free, but Stanislav Dvorskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danilo Seber in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanislav Dvorskiy saved Resistencia Tayrona FC from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Teodosio James left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santos de Buenos Aires FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Stanislav Dvorskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Cambiasso in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Santos de Buenos Aires FC got a corner. Bortzaioriz Cervantes was slow to take the kick. During this time Resistencia Tayrona FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 88th minute Leandro Bucesta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santxo Bango received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Feliciano Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Albino Canor got a free kick in the 90th minute. Egun Zaballoss short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Feliciano Ayala to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Stanislav Dvorskiy came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Teodosio James. But to his dismay, Teodosio James quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Wilfredo Vimaro hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute of the match Bortzaioriz Cervantes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliciano Ayala showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
