In the 8th minute, one of 1909 Tarnovia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for 1909 Tarnovia. Feliciano Ayala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prosper Vandamme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danilo Seber took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maksymilian Prusinowski. Maksymilian Prusinowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Feliciano Ayala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zdzislaw Biraga in the 17th minute. With an all-out effort, 1909 Tarnovia's Feliciano Ayala threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Prosper Vandamme, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santos de Buenos Aires FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jerzy Grocholski was slow to take the kick. During this time 1909 Tarnovia's players had a chance to rest. Albino Canor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maksymilian Prusinowski having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prosper Vandamme got free with Feliciano Ayala in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Danilo Seber in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Maksymilian Prusinowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio James, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The Santos de Buenos Aires FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Feliciano Ayala should have stopped the shot. In the 46th match minute, 1909 Tarnovia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnaba Latkiewicz to maneuver through the defense. In the 50th minute of the match Santos de Buenos Aires FC got a corner. 1909 Tarnovia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amado Corderall ran over to the corner to take the kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Seber to make the kick off. Teodosio James could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Maksymilian Prusinowski made a huge save. In the 70th play minute Albino Canor came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Maksymilian Prusinowski. 1-2. 73 minutes into the match, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Grocholski came free, but Feliciano Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodosio James hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Feliciano Ayala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prosper Vandamme in the 79th minute of play. In the 85th play minute Teodosio James came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Maksymilian Prusinowski. 1-3. Barnaba Latkiewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The 1909 Tarnovia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Santos de Buenos Aires FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Santos de Buenos Aires FC.
