The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jamar Vang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vinícius Haaland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matheus Toscano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Wit Chuchro's late challenge caught a G.R.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wit Chuchro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, Maverick Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wit Chuchro to maneuver through the defense. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 23rd minute, but Edinho Paraíba got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Maverick Futebol Clube hanging dry this time. 袁昂宁 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute Reynaldo Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matheus Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match, 袁昂宁 got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edinho Paraíba was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 32 minutes, Guguh Saepuloh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the G.R. and the Maverick Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maverick Futebol Clube's Alfredinho Massa was substituted for Wit Chuchro. In the 34th minute, Guguh Saepuloh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes G.R. got a freekick which was hit by Yehoshua Kolai. Vinícius Haaland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to G.R. getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Guguh Saepuloh hit a great ball. Vinícius Haaland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheus Toscano having to interfere. In the 44th minute Alfredinho Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matheus Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jamar Vang hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. G.R.'s Matheus Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Neves in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vinícius Haaland to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, G.R.'s Matheus Toscano got control of the ball when Vinícius Haaland tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edinho Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jamar Vang's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamar Vang in the 57th minute of play forced Maverick Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Edinho Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Vitoldas Dovydaitis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. G.R.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maverick Futebol Clube the free kick. Matheus Toscano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinícius Haaland in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute Maverick Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Deivid Goiano went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of G.R.'s goalie and right to Abderaouf Bensaoula. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. G.R.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 60 minutes, Abderaouf Bensaoula mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maverick Futebol Clube and the G.R. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abderaouf Bensaoula hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, G.R.'s goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Neves came free, but Matheus Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 67 minutes into the game, when Fabian Adriaanse put in a rough tackle. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maverick Futebol Clube! With a little luck, G.R.'s Matheus Toscano got control of the ball when Cacá Cavalcante tried to sneak it across the goal line. When G.R.'s Jamar Vang in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 77th minute Reynaldo Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matheus Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cacá Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Reynaldo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid Goiano in the 87th minute of play forced G.R.'s goalkeeper Matheus Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynaldo Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robben Robbermond hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Matheus Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. If Reynaldo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maverick Futebol Clube's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
