With a left leg Horea Hurmuzache saved DINAMO from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Șerban Damian in the 92nd minute of play forced KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Radenko Mayer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94thth minute of the game Karsten Illgner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There was no doubt that KFC Uerdingen 05 were the better team. KFC Uerdingen 05's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
