Tony Van Der Weghen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zdzislaw Wawro in the 4th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregorie Van Beersel during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gregorie Van Beersel hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, FC Bruges's goal looked a bit too open when Zdzislaw Wawro came free, but Tony Van Der Weghen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Bruges's Herman Bormans got a free kick in the 12th minute. Zdzislaw Wawros short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Tony Van Der Weghen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. FC Sójcze's Ksawery Frodyma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Henderickx in the 16th minute of play. FC Bruges's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lukasz Hajto 21 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerzy Kiepski got free with Tony Van Der Weghen in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tony Henderickx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tony Van Der Weghen came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Sójcze's Jerzy Kiepski. But to his dismay, Jerzy Kiepski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, FC Sójcze's Tytus Bialakowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Van Der Weghen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute Zdzislaw Wawro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Van Der Weghen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Jerzy Kiepski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Sójcze fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zdzislaw Wawro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tony Henderickx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Ksawery Frodyma made a huge save. In the 56th match minute, FC Bruges was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julius Balthazar to maneuver through the defense. When FC Sójcze's Zdzislaw Wawro in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Bruges's goalie prevented a goal. Tony Van Der Weghen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zdzislaw Wawro in the 64th minute of the match. If Zbyszek Tepper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Van Der Weghen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zdzislaw Wawro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Van Der Weghen came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Sójcze's Jerzy Kiepski. But to his dismay, Jerzy Kiepski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Tony Van Der Weghen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdzislaw Wawro in the 71st minute of play. Jerzy Kiepski took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Van Der Weghen. Tony Van Der Weghen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 80 minutes into the game, Boruc Kisiel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Sójcze's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bruges the free kick. In the 80th match minute, FC Sójcze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boruc Kisiel to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC Bruges getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Benoit Elzen hit a great ball. Tony Van Der Weghen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zdzislaw Wawro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, FC Bruges's goal looked a bit too open when Zdzislaw Wawro came free, but Tony Van Der Weghen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Tony Henderickx got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 95th match minute, FC Bruges was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jasper Opdebeeck to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Sójcze had played much better football throughout.
