Sérgio Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Caragea in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, GD JULIO DINIS's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Caragea came free, but Sérgio Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Geraldo Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Mavrogheni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Covataru in the 24th minute of play forced GD JULIO DINIS's goalkeeper Sérgio Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geraldo Lopes during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes GD JULIO DINIS got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Lopes. In the 35th minute Valter Ventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Mavrogheni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Filip Graur managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Buffalo Timişoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Ilie Mavrogheni successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mugur Covataru kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geraldo Lopes to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Gelu Ţeica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Buffalo Timişoara's Mugur Covataru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sérgio Passos. That made the score 0-3 after 55 minutes of play. Sérgio Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Covataru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes Buffalo Timişoara got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Ozon. Cássio Caldeira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ilie Mavrogheni. Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 69 minutes, Manole Mihăescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buffalo Timişoara and the GD JULIO DINIS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of GD JULIO DINIS booed when Buffalo Timişoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manole Mihăescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandru Boieraș kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sérgio Passos. That made the score 1-4 in the 73 minute of play. In the 79th minute, Higino Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience cheered when Mugur Hudiță's long shot passed Sérgio Passos's right side. It was 1-6, 80 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, GD JULIO DINIS's goalkeeper Sérgio Passos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandru Boieraș. Sérgio Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Mihăescu in the 88th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Alexandru Boieraș got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Buffalo Timişoara's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
