The KFC Uerdingen 05 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to KFC Uerdingen 05 getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Nicolas Anelka hit a great ball. Radenko Mayer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Gregorczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fatmir Zollt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute, Fatmir Zollt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fatmir Zollt kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match Jaroslaw Kowalski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Radenko Mayer skillfully saved the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ziemowit Wnukowski made a kick off. Radenko Mayer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ziemowit Wnukowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ziemowit Wnukowski came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Srebrny Grom DK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ziemowit Wnukowski couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute, Wawrzyniec Debkowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas Anelka's late challenge caught a Srebrny Grom DK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Anelka helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Srebrny Grom DK booed when KFC Uerdingen 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Anelka didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the game, KFC Uerdingen 05's Manfred Andrau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustaw Sobania made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Karsten Illgner struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Gustaw Sobania didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Uerdingen 05. Radenko Mayer made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Iwan Pieprz sent off a good shot on target. Manfred Andrau took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustaw Sobania. Gustaw Sobania dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Gustaw Sobania came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Uerdingen 05's Karsten Illgner. But to his dismay, Karsten Illgner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Radenko Mayer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iwan Pieprz in the 81st minute. In the 83rd play minute Iwan Pieprz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Radenko Mayer. 4-2. If Ziemowit Wnukowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Radenko Mayer managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Srebrny Grom DK's Iwan Pieprz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 91st match minute, KFC Uerdingen 05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosius Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, one of KFC Uerdingen 05:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KFC Uerdingen 05. Daniel Gregorczyk struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Radenko Mayer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Srebrny Grom DK. When the referee blew the final whistle, KFC Uerdingen 05 could leave the field as winners, despite Srebrny Grom DK having more of the ball for most of the match.
