An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Caragea in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Bruges's goalkeeper Tony Van Der Weghen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Van Der Weghen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Caragea in the 24th minute of play. Gregorie Van Beersel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, FC Bruges was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorie Van Beersel to maneuver through the defense. Tony Van Der Weghen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Caragea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Bruges's Tony Van Der Weghen got control of the ball when Alexandru Boieraș tried to sneak it across the goal line. Buffalo Timişoara's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
