Sidnei Dionísio's late challenge caught a FC Bruges's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidnei Dionísio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, 卡納里尼奧 FC's Sidnei Dionísio got a free kick in the 15th minute. Sidnei Dionísio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Tony Van Der Weghen made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Amílton Marinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Van Der Weghen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, FC Bruges's Benoit Elzen got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Elias Damasceno kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tony Van Der Weghen. That made the score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. Eliseu Alagoano scored 3-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tony Van Der Weghen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Bruges's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Eliseu Alagoano scored to the left of an out of position Tony Van Der Weghen, making the score, 4-0. 44 minutes into the match, Agostinho Guedes notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of FC Bruges's Tony Van Der Weghen. Tony Van Der Weghen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elias Damasceno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tony Van Der Weghen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tony Van Der Weghen came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by 卡納里尼奧 FC's Elias Damasceno. But to his dismay, Elias Damasceno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. 卡納里尼奧 FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
