Zelg FC's Feodor Thelen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Zelg FC from getting a goal against them. Feodor Thelen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tito Waechter in the 7th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramon Witzig during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Zelg FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ramon Witzig hit a great ball. Feodor Thelen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tito Waechter, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game Pornsak Seearamrungruang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zelg FC's Feodor Thelen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pornsak Seearamrungruang in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feodor Thelen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Feodor Thelen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pornsak Seearamrungruang in the 16th minute of play. After 17 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Stephen Vicente. In the 18th minute of the match Hercules Brütsch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dieter Gärtner showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to FC Lugano getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Maximilian Buser hit a great ball. Enrico Vogt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieter Gärtner having to interfere. In the 25th minute of the match, Pornsak Seearamrungruang tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Feodor Thelen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pornsak Seearamrungruang in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feodor Thelen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Feodor Thelen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pornsak Seearamrungruang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulric Donsante kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Zelg FC's keeper Feodor Thelen was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Pornsak Seearamrungruang had several of the Zelg FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Feodor Thelen as he didn't even see the shot coming. Palmiro Brennwald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feodor Thelen having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Holm Felder during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when Zelg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holm Felder didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Pornsak Seearamrungruang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Lugano's Matteo Gartenmann was substituted for Ulric Donsante. Matteo Gartenmann took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Feodor Thelen. Feodor Thelen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 66 played minutes Zelg FC got a freekick which was hit by Andy Fossati. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matteo Gartenmann in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feodor Thelen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matteo Gartenmann in the 70th minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Feodor Thelen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dan Rüdy during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matteo Gartenmann in the 75th minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Feodor Thelen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregg Graber was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, one of Zelg FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zelg FC. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for FC Lugano. Pornsak Seearamrungruang stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Feodor Thelen. 4-0. Matteo Gartenmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feodor Thelen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matteo Gartenmann in the 94th minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Feodor Thelen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matteo Gartenmann in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Feodor Thelen saved Zelg FC from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zelg FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Lugano.
