Radenko Mayer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Boieraș, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 24th minute Gelu Ţeica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radenko Mayer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandru Boieraș might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radenko Mayer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandru Boieraș ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Graur in the 30th minute of play forced KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Radenko Mayer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, KFC Uerdingen 05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosius Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. Radenko Mayer came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Buffalo Timişoara's Gelu Ţeica. But to his dismay, Gelu Ţeica quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. KFC Uerdingen 05's Radenko Mayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelu Ţeica in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Buffalo Timişoara's Leonard Caragea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Radenko Mayer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A collision led to KFC Uerdingen 05 getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Fatmir Zollt hit a great ball. Manfred Andrau hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonard Caragea to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, KFC Uerdingen 05's Radenko Mayer got control of the ball when Leonard Caragea tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, KFC Uerdingen 05's Nicolas Anelka got a free kick in the 54th minute. 59 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Radenko Mayer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonard Caragea. After a rather tough play, Buffalo Timişoara's Ionuț Zăgănescu got a free kick in the 67th minute. After 70 played minutes KFC Uerdingen 05 got a freekick which was hit by Kai Laakmann. Alexandru Boierașs short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Radenko Mayer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Buffalo Timişoara booed when KFC Uerdingen 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerlach Rogatty didn't get a good kick on the ball. Buffalo Timişoara's Mugur Covataru was substituted for Gelu Ţeica. Buffalo Timişoara's Vlad Albulescu was substituted for Filip Graur. Gerlach Rogatty kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Leonard Caragea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Radenko Mayer made a huge save. Ilie Mavrogheni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Andrau in the 83rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Leonard Caragea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buffalo Timişoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonard Caragea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radenko Mayer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandru Boieraș in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Radenko Mayer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Radenko Mayer managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Buffalo Timişoara's Alexandru Boieraș fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Buffalo Timişoara played a much better game than KFC Uerdingen 05 and deserved their victory. The KFC Uerdingen 05 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
