After 4 played minutes FC Bruges got a freekick which was hit by Richy Wiggers. Sérgio Passos was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Julius Balthazar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julius Balthazar really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Tony Van Der Weghen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Lopes in the 18th minute of play. Tony Henderickx charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tony Henderickx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Bruges's Tony Henderickx got a free kick in the 19th minute. Sérgio Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julius Balthazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Gentil in the 24th minute of play forced FC Bruges's goalkeeper Tony Van Der Weghen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 minutes, Higino Abreu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GD JULIO DINIS and the FC Bruges players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius Balthazar in the 32nd minute of play forced GD JULIO DINIS's goalkeeper Sérgio Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, FC Bruges's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Lopes came free, but Tony Van Der Weghen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tony Henderickx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Gentil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jasper Opdebeeck charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jasper Opdebeeck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of GD JULIO DINIS booed when FC Bruges was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jasper Opdebeeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Van Der Weghen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Lopes in the 56th minute of the match. Tony Van Der Weghen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Lopes in the 58th minute of play. Tony Van Der Weghen was a little too slow when Geraldo Lopes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-1. With a little luck, FC Bruges's Tony Van Der Weghen got control of the ball when Gustavo Gentil tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius Balthazar in the 67th minute of play forced GD JULIO DINIS's goalkeeper Sérgio Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sérgio Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julius Balthazar in the 71st minute of play. After 76 played minutes GD JULIO DINIS got a freekick which was hit by Pascoal Braga. Higino Abreu lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 77 minutes into the game, one of GD JULIO DINIS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. GD JULIO DINIS:s Sérgio Passos showed great skill when he stopped Jasper Opdebeeck:s penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zeferino Castilho got free with Tony Van Der Weghen in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Zeferino Castilho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Van Der Weghen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zeferino Castilho went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Tony Van Der Weghen made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Pascoal Braga sent off a good shot on target. Sérgio Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richy Wiggers in the 98th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. GD JULIO DINIS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
