Sérgio Passos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manole Mihăescu in the 10th minute. If Alexandru Boieraș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute Manole Mihăescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Buffalo Timişoara were awarded a corner. Mugur Hudiță went to the cornerflag to take it. Cássio Caldeira tried in the game's 17th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Sérgio Passos. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. With 20 minutes on the clock, Honorato Casado commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 21st minute, Honorato Casado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's Mugur Hudiță broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 24 minutes into the match, GD JULIO DINIS's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Boieraș came free, but Sérgio Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio Passos made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Alexandru Boieraș sent off a good shot on target. Ilie Mavrogheni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeferino Castilho, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Leonard Caragea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandru Boieraș came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sérgio Passos could save by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Gustavo Gentil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ilie Mavrogheni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Manole Mihăescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norberto Santana hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Zeferino Castilho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ilie Mavrogheni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ilie Mavrogheni was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Norberto Santana capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Norberto Santana really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 71st minute, Manole Mihăescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Passos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manole Mihăescu in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio Passos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Buffalo Timişoara made a substitution. Mugur Covataru replaced Gelu Ţeica. Sérgio Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Caragea in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Leonard Caragea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mugur Covataru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Caragea in the 86th minute of the match. Sérgio Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliodor Petran in the 95th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Zeferino Castilho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
