The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Oper got free with Timo Courtois in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hasan Fuleager made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Vărzaru in the 26th minute of play. ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Strib Galacticos IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eugen Mihălțan took the corner. The corner led ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Basarab Vărzaru to fire away a dangerous shot which Hasan Fuleager despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Irinel Tatomir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucrețiu Ghimiș could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Hasan Fuleager made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucrețiu Ghimiș got free with Hasan Fuleager in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Irinel Tatomir fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Strib Galacticos IF's Reinhard Duse was substituted for Asım Arif Akatay. 68 minutes into the game, Basarab Vărzaru threw the ball into play from the sideline. Strib Galacticos IF's Reinhard Duse quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 70th minute, ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Irinel Tatomir ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hasan Fuleager. Hasan Fuleager yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. In the 76th minute of the match, Irinel Tatomir tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hasan Fuleager saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 83 minutes into the match, Strib Galacticos IF's goal looked a bit too open when Irinel Tatomir came free, but Hasan Fuleager reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Andres Oper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute of the match Strib Galacticos IF got a corner. ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mike Tyson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lucrețiu Ghimiș received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hasan Fuleager came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucrețiu Ghimiș slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 93rd minute. Andres Oper struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Timo Courtois didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strib Galacticos IF. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
