Timo Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Kazczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irinel Tatomir in the 25th minute of play forced Real Juniors's goalkeeper Alisson Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Efe Suheyl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Timo Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Efe Suheyl in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Juniors's goalkeeper Alisson Becker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 29 played minutes Real Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Galoer. With a little luck, Real Juniors's Alisson Becker got control of the ball when Eugen Mihălțan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's zone, Ahmet Efe Suheyl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timo Courtois came out of the goal and Ahmet Efe Suheyl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Boruc Zdanowicz put in a rough tackle. 43 minutes into the game, one of Real Juniors:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Irinel Tatomir made the kick off in the second half. Real Juniors's Ahmet Efe Suheyl got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alisson Becker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Özalp Erdönmez hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match.
