The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, VBL Stockholm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Vallander to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the match, MKS Maczka's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Johnsson came free, but Emil Cvitanović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Eugeniusz Kolbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in MKS Maczka's zone, Olov Johnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Cvitanović came out of the goal and Olov Johnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugeniusz Kolbert in the 18th minute of play forced VBL Stockholm's goalkeeper Carl-Chester Vallgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes of play, VBL Stockholm's Olov Johnsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emil Cvitanović was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the match, MKS Maczka's Eugeniusz Kolbert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carl-Chester Vallgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Olov Johnsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emil Cvitanović was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Olov Johnsson scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emil Cvitanović, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 38 minutes into the match, VBL Stockholm's goal looked a bit too open when Eugeniusz Kolbert came free, but Carl-Chester Vallgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Olov Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olov Johnsson to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Olov Johnsson made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. MKS Maczka's Emil Cvitanović tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Wincenty Sakowicz in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by VBL Stockholm's Algot Markusson. Jonatan Olsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Cvitanović having to interfere. Jonatan Olsson made a great header on VBL Stockholm's corner, it was just that MKS Maczka's Emil Cvitanović managed to reach the ball for a save. If Olov Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carl-Chester Vallgren came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by MKS Maczka's Eugeniusz Kolbert. But to his dismay, Eugeniusz Kolbert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. When Eugeniusz Kolbert came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the MKS Maczka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugeniusz Kolbert couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see MKS Maczka lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
