Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristo Cordara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Basilio Abancens managed to get in a good position for a shot. General Tanz II's supporters rose to their feet, but Basilio Abancens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristo Cordara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. General Tanz II's Hermengildo Tipi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Lima in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manu Smets in the 56th minute of play forced General Tanz II's goalkeeper Hermengildo Tipi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartolo Mantzio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristo Cordara having to make a save. In the 65th minute Emiliano Jacob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Cordara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
