Torbjörn Grönlund was slow to take the kick. During this time VBL Stockholm's players had a chance to rest. Carl-Chester Vallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manoel dos Santos in the 7th minute of play. Carl-Chester Vallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İrfan Ilgıt in the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Operário Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Paşa Nada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 16 played minutes VBL Stockholm got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Edvin Åström. In the 18th minute, İrfan Ilgıt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carl-Chester Vallgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 23 minutes of play, VBL Stockholm's Olov Johnsson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paşa Nada was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Olov Johnsson put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Paşa Nada. In the 44th minute Olov Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paşa Nada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute İrfan Ilgıt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl-Chester Vallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manoel dos Santos was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, VBL Stockholm's Olov Johnsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paşa Nada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reis Birsel got free with Carl-Chester Vallgren in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carl-Chester Vallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İrfan Ilgıt in the 57th minute of the match. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by VBL Stockholm's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olov Johnsson in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paşa Nada saved Operário Futebol Clube from getting behind. In the 66th minute of the match VBL Stockholm got a corner. Operário Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Torbjörn Grönlund ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bernt Vallander hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Bernt Vallander fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Carl-Chester Vallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İrfan Ilgıt in the 69th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olov Johnsson in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paşa Nada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Johnsson in the 73rd minute of play forced Operário Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Paşa Nada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th match minute, VBL Stockholm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eerik Lilleorg to maneuver through the defense. Operário Futebol Clube's Paşa Nada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrik Josefsson in the 77th minute of play. If Olov Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carl-Chester Vallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manoel dos Santos in the 85th minute of play. Reis Birsel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Carl-Chester Vallgren made a huge save. In the 87th minute, Olov Johnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89thth minute of the game Olov Johnsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Operário Futebol Clube's Paşa Nada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Operário Futebol Clube's Manoel dos Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carl-Chester Vallgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Many of Operário Futebol Clube's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Operário Futebol Clube may have spent more time on the ball, but VBL Stockholm were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
