The audience thought a goal was coming when Romão Mourato got free with Victoriano Bernaldo in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roneros F.C.'s Ricardo Ceberiche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Libertad in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match Roneros F.C. got a corner. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cordero Aberasturi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Romão Mourato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Bernaldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Wei Li fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Ceberiche having to interfere. Victoriano Bernaldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romão Mourato in the 35th minute. Ricardo Ceberiche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Libertad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Roneros F.C. were awarded a corner. Cordero Aberasturi went to the cornerflag to take it. Mattias Classon was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Ricardo Ceberiche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Libertad, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The Roneros F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The Roneros F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Roneros F.C.'s Witomir Jestrimski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Roneros F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dep Colonia Avellaneda had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
