In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Franco Di Giambattista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edin Džeko took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franco Di Giambattista. Franco Di Giambattista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Medero Gadea in the 40th minute of play. Franco Di Giambattista came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by GeRaÇãO-83's Edin Džeko. But to his dismay, Edin Džeko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Medero Gadea made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Medero Gadea came free, but Franco Di Giambattista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's Edin Džeko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franco Di Giambattista narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Phil Vine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Ervin DeJesus was substituted for Shane Smiley. With a little luck, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Franco Di Giambattista got control of the ball when Edin Džeko tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Keenan Worthington left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Racing Miami Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. After 86 minutes, Medero Gadea made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side.
