The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Salvatore during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 6 minutes into the match, Leo Delfino notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Quitilipi's Geronimo Rainerio. Geronimo Rainerio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leo Delfino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Geronimo Rainerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geronimo Rainerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Jerano, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Quitilipi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carmelo Osmundo was slow to take the kick. During this time Academia Club's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Academia Club's Carmelo Osmundo to fire away a dangerous shot which Geronimo Rainerio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 24th minute, Remigio Jerano made a precise shot to the right of Geronimo Rainerio. Quitilipi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 29th match minute, Quitilipi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Felipo to maneuver through the defense. Geronimo Rainerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Jerano, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Academia Club were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Quitilipi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carmelo Osmundo took the corner. Quitilipi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remigio Jerano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Leo Delfino charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leo Delfino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Quitilipi booed when Academia Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Delfino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Academia Club were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remigio Jerano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Quitilipi's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Delfino came free, but Geronimo Rainerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Quitilipi's Hector Silvanito got a free kick in the 57th minute. Geronimo Rainerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Delfino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Joanes in the 74th minute of play forced Academia Club's goalkeeper Hernan Ellande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes, Aristides Bernabel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quitilipi and the Academia Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aristides Bernabel kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Leo Delfino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Academia Club's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Joanes came free, but Hernan Ellande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Academia Club booed when Quitilipi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Salvatore didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carmelo Osmundo came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Academia Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Osmundo couldn't finish the play. Geronimo Rainerio didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 0-8.
