Jem Butt's late challenge caught a River CBBA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jem Butt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, Bandung Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jem Butt to maneuver through the defense. Bandung Tigers's Yoppie Duaramuri got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jem Butt was shown his second yellow card after 24 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Jem Butt hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Hatta Arnawa made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Ignacio Scocco sent off a good shot on target. Hatta Arnawa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Scocco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bandung Tigers's goalkeeper Hatta Arnawa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 37th minute, but Hatta Arnawa got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Bandung Tigers hanging dry this time. In the 39th minute of the match River CBBA got a corner. Bandung Tigers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reinaldo Merlo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Reinaldo Merlo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hatta Arnawa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 41 minutes into the match, Bandung Tigers's goalkeeper Hatta Arnawa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene Houseman. In the 43rd minute of the game Firmin Abenda made a throw-in which Tobias Abarca played forward. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Dandy was the one to do the kick off. Rene Houseman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hatta Arnawa having to interfere. River CBBA's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save River CBBA from getting a goal against them. Hatta Arnawa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Scocco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hatta Arnawa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Houseman in the 85th minute of play. River CBBA's Jonatán Maidana was substituted for Fabian Ayala. Firmin Abenda made in the 88th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rene Houseman immediately put the ball in play. Ignacio Scocco hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. River CBBA succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Bandung Tigers had controlled the match.
