The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Golden Drag贸n F.C's Xoan Barbera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guilherme Veiga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gaitano Reza hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. A collision led to Racing Miami Futbol Club getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Phil Vine hit a great ball. Guilherme Veiga made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Xoan Barbera sent off a good shot on target. Shane Smiley took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Froila Espin. Froila Espin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vance Tidwell hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 22 played minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Ty Boyce. In the 24th minute Walme Labandera managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. In the 27thth minute of the game Xoan Barbera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Miami Futbol Club's Guilherme Veiga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Froila Espin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Raulo's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Golden Drag贸n F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Raulo came free, but Froila Espin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Racing Miami Futbol Club were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Golden Drag贸n F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vance Tidwell took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Vance Tidwell got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Froila Espin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Froila Espin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shane Smiley in the 36th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Golden Drag贸n F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Raulo came free, but Froila Espin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim Pereta to make the kick off. A collision led to Racing Miami Futbol Club getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ty Boyce hit a great ball. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Golden Drag贸n F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vance Tidwell was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Miami Futbol Club's players had a chance to rest. 61 minutes into the game, Chu Zheng Yu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Froila Espin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Ervin DeJesus was substituted for Shane Smiley. 66 minutes into the match, Golden Drag贸n F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Keenan Worthington came free, but Froila Espin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rius Elvira during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rius Elvira kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Golden Drag贸n F.C made a substitution. Bertran Bolonga replaced Xoan Barbera. Froila Espin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ervin DeJesus in the 95th minute of play. The Racing Miami Futbol Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Racing Miami Futbol Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
