The referee ignored Las Palmas's protests and gave Damaso Sotil a yellow card for diving instead. Teodelina FC made a substitution. Damaso Chorache replaced Nicolás De la Cruz. In the 8th minute, Damaso Sotil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute of the game, Braulio Osoro landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 27 minutes, Froilan Quinito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Las Palmas and the Teodelina FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Teodelina FC's Evelio Erasto was substituted for Braulio Osoro. After 28 played minutes Las Palmas got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Quinito. 29 minutes into the match, Edinson Cavani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Efrain Veremundo. Las Palmas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edinson Cavani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Calixto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Antonio Berbiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Calixto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Efrain Veremundo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Teodelina FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
