In the 14th minute Isaac Mingo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Czeslaw Zbydniowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmondo Sarnelli got free with Robert Vassenius in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Edmondo Sarnelli took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Robert Vassenius to make any attempt to save it. RB Chubut's Isaac Mingo got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Vassenius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmondo Sarnelli in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute Isaac Mingo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Czeslaw Zbydniowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Vassenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanny Fuertehijar in the 33rd minute of the match. Isaac Mingo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Czeslaw Zbydniowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Czeslaw Zbydniowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaac Mingo's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Pedro Crispo in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by RB Chubut's Maximino Aimar. RB Chubut were furious when Maximino Aimar was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 40 played minutes RB Chubut got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Aimar. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmondo Sarnelli in the 58th minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Robert Vassenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Vassenius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanny Fuertehijar in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, RB Chubut's goal looked a bit too open when Edmondo Sarnelli came free, but Robert Vassenius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Anselmino during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 65 minutes into the match, Geovanny Fuertehijar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Vassenius. RB Chubut's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovanny Fuertehijar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. The supporters of RB Chubut booed when U21 Totoras F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Sarnelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Czeslaw Zbydniowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Mingo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
