Chorche Torrescassana made a great header on Golden Drag贸n F.C's corner, it was just that Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi managed to reach the ball for a save. Julian Birila charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Birila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joaquim Pereta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Enrique Lekubegi came out and tried to block the shot, but Joaquim Pereta slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. In the 25th minute, Eron Sanez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Drag贸n F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Joaquim Pereta might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Lekubegi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Pereta ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Golden Drag贸n F.C getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Urbano Alzola hit a great ball. After 36 minutes of play Palermo's Julian Birila was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 36th minute, Julian Birila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Joaquim Pereta got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Palermo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Edgardo Loaisa scored to the left of an out of position Enrique Lekubegi, making the score, 4-0. Chaime Alamon tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Froila Espin. An unnecessary self made goal, 4-1 in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim Pereta to make the kick off. Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Loaisa in the 54th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Santos Ioritz. Chorche Torrescassana took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enrique Lekubegi. Palermo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Pereta came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrique Lekubegi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Pereta in the 61st minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Edgardo Loaisa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 minutes of play Palermo's Santos Ioritz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Santos Ioritz hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Palermo's goalkeeper Enrique Lekubegi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Golden Drag贸n F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chorche Torrescassana in the 74th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Edgardo Loaisa got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 5-1. 75 minutes into the match. When Dionisio Oton fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo's protests and gave Dionisio Oton a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Palermo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Golden Drag贸n F.C:s goal. 79 minutes into the game, Golden Drag贸n F.C's Chorche Torrescassana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique Lekubegi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Evelio Guipuzkoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Froila Espin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85thth minute of the game Joaquim Pereta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enrique Lekubegi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Pereta, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Pereta came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 minutes of play, Golden Drag贸n F.C's Joaquim Pereta made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enrique Lekubegi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 98 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Pereta came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Pereta in the 100th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Lekubegi saved Palermo from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Golden Drag贸n F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Palermo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
