Ian Chapui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Heli in the 32nd minute of the match. Ervin DeJesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Robert Vassenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ian Chapui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Bikendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Racing Miami Futbol Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lino Semeno was slow to take the kick. During this time RB Chubut's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Lino Semeno almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Racing Miami Futbol Club's Ian Chapui did a great save. Robert Vassenius came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Miami Futbol Club's Genaro Cassidy. But to his dismay, Genaro Cassidy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. RB Chubut's Lázaro Quico was substituted for Adrian Cristos. RB Chubut made a substitution. Isaac Mingo replaced Justino Heli. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Alfonso Bikendi made the kick off in the second half. Quincy Walker was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. RB Chubut's Andrézinho Pelé was substituted for Alfonso Bikendi. The goalkeeper, Ian Chapui, was totally fooled by RB Chubut's Lino Semeno, who 63 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of RB Chubut booed when Racing Miami Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Farris didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Racing Miami Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ian Chapui should have stopped the shot. Melvin Slater kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho Pelé in the 86th minute of play forced Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Ian Chapui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Sorin made in the 97th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lázaro Quico immediately put the ball in play. After 97 minutes, Glen Hoff mouthed his way into the referee's book.
