Davi Rossi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomé Mota read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Frank Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeu Prado made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Tiago Cosme sent off a good shot on target. After 9 minutes of play, Sport Club Mavericks's Alfredão Mesquita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomé Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amadeu Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Cosme came free, but Amadeu Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomé Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredão Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th match minute, Agua Santa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Mendes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Mavericks's José Carlos Mangueira got a free kick in the 29th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when William Luz came free, but Amadeu Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Agua Santa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sport Club Mavericks were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davi Rossi made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Enrique Abreu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Agua Santa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when Agua Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davi Rossi took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomé Mota. Tomé Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 76th minute, Enrique Abreu made a precise shot to the right of Amadeu Prado. Sport Club Mavericks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Abreu in the 83rd minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Amadeu Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Tiago Cosme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Amadeu Prado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 89 minutes into the match, Tiago Cosme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeu Prado. Sport Club Mavericks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiago Cosme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Enrique Abreu took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeu Prado. Amadeu Prado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. Agua Santa walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
