Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zézinho Neto got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Vidal came free, but Amadeu Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sport Club Mavericks's Amadeu Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Braga in the 7th minute of play. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Braga in the 8th minute of the match. Amadeu Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Vladimir Braga got a free kick in the 15th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Davi Rossi came free, but Mauro de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Batista came free, but Amadeu Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Batista in the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Renato Souza in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Prado saved Sport Club Mavericks from getting behind. 32 minutes into the game, Wilson Vidal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Amadeu Prado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zézinho Neto got free with Mauro de Salles in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauro de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson de Carvalho in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Vidal in the 45th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Amadeu Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dudu Queiroz in the 46th minute. The corner led Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dudu Queiroz to fire away a dangerous shot which Amadeu Prado despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Amadeu Prado was a little too slow when Wilson Vidal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 0-2. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Zé Carlos Cordeiro was substituted for Anselmo Batista. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dalmo Rocha was substituted for Telmo Barbosa. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Wilson Vidal hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the game, Alfredão Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Club Mavericks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Iguaçu MZFC the free kick. Sport Club Mavericks's Amadeu Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson de Carvalho in the 60th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Jailson de Carvalho could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 0-3 into the left cross. Amadeu Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Jailson de Carvalho took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeu Prado. Amadeu Prado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Vidal in the 81st minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Vidal came free, but Amadeu Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Carlos Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Prado having to interfere. Alfredão Mesquita was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 91 played minutes Sport Club Mavericks got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Mesquita. In the 94th minute Wilson Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Sport Club Mavericks fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
