Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marco Valadares took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Neto came free, but Telmo Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telmo Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davi Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 14th minute, Zézinho Neto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Club Mavericks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Zézinho Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Madureira having to interfere. Alfredão Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Telmo Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredão Mesquita might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telmo Madureira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredão Mesquita ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute Zézinho Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Davi Rossi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 23 minutes into the game, Inácio Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Club Mavericks the free kick. After 24 played minutes E.C 2 Janeiro RS got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Pinheiro. In the 28thth minute of the game Geraldo Eger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sport Club Mavericks's Amadeu Prado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zézinho Neto in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Telmo Madureira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredão Mesquita in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Neto came free, but Telmo Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telmo Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi Rossi in the 37th minute of play. When Sport Club Mavericks's Zézinho Neto in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalie prevented a goal. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Rossi in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davi Rossi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Cean in the 51st minute of play forced E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper Telmo Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 minutes, Dito Ferraz made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Davi Rossi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Telmo Madureira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of E.C 2 Janeiro RS booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Carlos Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Davi Rossi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Telmo Madureira. That made the score 0-3 in the 65 minute of play. With a little luck, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira got control of the ball when Davi Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Basílio Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored E.C 2 Janeiro RS's protests and gave Basílio Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. Sport Club Mavericks made a substitution. Hílton Cruz replaced Davi Rossi. 84 minutes into the match, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper Telmo Madureira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexsandro Lira. In the 85th minute, Zézinho Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amadeu Prado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Valadares's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After 92 minutes, Paulo Pontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E.C 2 Janeiro RS and the Sport Club Mavericks players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulo Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Hílton Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Telmo Madureira made a huge save. Telmo Madureira was a little too slow when José Carlos Mangueira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 0-5. Sport Club Mavericks's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
