With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davi Tande prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute, Squadra Demarchi's Sérgio Batista seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sérgio Batista the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Squadra Demarchi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sérgio Batista had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Sérgio Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. A hard shot by Patrick Vergílio from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Oscar Saldanha's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Squadra Demarchi getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Júnior Meirelles hit a great ball. Washington Furtado struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Oscar Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Davi Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Pinho in the 26th minute of play forced CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Davi Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Samuel Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Toninho Garcia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oscar Saldanha. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. Oscar Saldanha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernani Travassos hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Toninho Garcia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oscar Saldanha. Oscar Saldanha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Washington Furtado to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Squadra Demarchi's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Furtado came free, but Oscar Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Squadra Demarchi booed when CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 played minutes, Squadra Demarchi's Paulinho Paraibano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Davi Tande came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Squadra Demarchi reached it. In the 80th minute, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Samuel Ribeiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
