Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélder Trigo to make the kick off. Zé Augusto Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Luz in the 51st minute of the match. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Rosa in the 55th minute of play. If Júnior Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agua Santa's Tiago Cosme got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vascogoianiense FC's Zé Augusto Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Abreu in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Rosa came free, but Zé Augusto Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waldir Faria during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
