After a defensive mix-up in MARINUS MZC's zone, Marco Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo Moreira came out of the goal and Marco Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlinhos da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. MARINUS MZC's Perivaldo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Sanches in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Délio Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MARINUS MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Délio Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdo Guimarães took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlinhos da Costa. Carlinhos da Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 72nd match minute, MARINUS MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. Perivaldo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Pontes in the 74th minute of the match. MARINUS MZC's Valdo Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute Marco Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
