After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Vítor Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perivaldo Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Perivaldo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, SORRISO E. C.'s Perivaldo Moreira threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Júlio Eger, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Perivaldo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Pereira in the 39th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Délio Souza made the kick off in the second half. When Délio Souza came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the MARINUS MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Délio Souza couldn't finish the play. In the 57th match minute, MARINUS MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Moreira having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, SORRISO E. C.'s Horácio Pereira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Perivaldo Moreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Délio Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Délio Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Perivaldo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Marquez in the 77th minute of play. Perivaldo Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Mendonça in the 89th minute of play forced MARINUS MZC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perivaldo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Mendonça in the 90th minute of the match.
