Délio Souza started the match with the kick off. MARINUS MZC's Perivaldo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Zanette in the 4th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Délio Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. MARINUS MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Délio Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davi Tande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind MARINUS MZC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Moreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Davi Tande got control of the ball when Délio Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to MARINUS MZC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Evaristo Arósio hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, MARINUS MZC's Valdo Guimarães got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th match minute, MARINUS MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Duda Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MARINUS MZC reached it. After a defensive mix-up in CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's zone, Valdo Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davi Tande came out of the goal and Valdo Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Davi Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Guimarães in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Valdo Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of MARINUS MZC booed when CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 41 played minutes, MARINUS MZC's Thiago Ortiz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Davi Tande came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MARINUS MZC reached it. Thiago Ortiz hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Duda Goiano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Perivaldo Moreira. MARINUS MZC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Washington Furtado was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Toninho Garcia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Toninho Garcia scored 0-2 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Perivaldo Moreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdo Guimarães in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davi Tande saved CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA from getting behind. MARINUS MZC's Perivaldo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Garcia in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 played minutes MARINUS MZC got a freekick which was hit by Donato de Souza. Valdo Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Davi Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perivaldo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Délio Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
